In May, the National Security Administration began the development of a high capacity data center at Fort Meade. The facility estimated to cost more than $800 million will allow the NSA to expand its data storage and processing capabilities. The project is just the latest development at Fort Meade which has seen an influx of defense information agencies and cyber security jobs over the last several years.
This type of state-of-the-art data facility is the second one of its kind being constructed by the NSA. The agency continues the development ofa $1.5 billion data center in Utah. The center at Fort Meade is expected to open in 2016.

One such business is Brick House, an Annapolis-based Lego learning center that teaches children STEM related concepts.
