CIC Member kloudtrack® has been selected as a finalist for the TechAwards 2014 Rising Star Award. The Chesapeake Regional Tech Council (CRTC) announced the finalists last week for the upcoming 9th annual TechAwards 2014: Get in the Game, honoring the region's rising tech companies, outstanding innovators and all-around top "geeks." Winners will be announced at the TechAwards event on the evening of March 26, 2014 at the Hilton Baltimore BWI Airport Hotel.
ITnova is one of 41 startups out of 260 that are advancing in the second InvestMaryland Challenge. “We have been working on developing a new solution to secure mobile wireless networks,” explains Carolina Cepeda, CEO/Founder of ITnova. “My proposal is to develop a secure solution for Android smartphones connected on Ad Hoc mode using the WiFi modem. I am using an encryption technique that is similar to Indentification Friend or Foe used in aircraft systems.” As a semifinalist, Ms. Cepeda will conduct face-to-face interviews with judges on March 6 at the Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development (DBED) headquarters in Baltimore.
