Generally, the firms will be in one of the following sectors: homeland security/defense, communications or information technology. All applicants should be in one of our three portfolio strategy areas: 1) Security - location based technology, high-grade network security, high-grade authentication/identification, wireless security, high-grade information assurance, self-organizing networks, CCTV signal intelligence, user assurance, C4ISR, sensors (CBRNE, IED, and WMD) 2) Informatics - data handling and fusion of enormous quantities of data that is multi-lingual, multi-media, multi-source data which would include data manipulation, mining, visualization, intelligent agents, prioritization, pattern matching, entomology detection, tactical pre-filtering, cognitive processing, interpretation and distribution 3) Massive Data Requirements -high volume/speed data collection, zero-izable and advanced terra or peta byte storage, high speed computing, semantic, ontological or graph database architectures, advanced power supplies
