Chesapeake Innovation Center Graduates another Successful Company
Exemplary Performance Moves to Larger Office Space in Annapolis
ANNAPOLIS, MD (January 9, 2007) - - - Exemplary Performance, a Chesapeake Innovation Center (CIC) incubator company, will move in January to larger offices in the Westwoods Building, across the street from the CIC building on Admiral Cochrane Drive in Annapolis.
Exemplary Performance began incubating with CIC two years ago and has steadily grown. With several Fortune 500 companies as clients, the company expects to expand from a staff of 12 to a staff of 34, including consultants, through 2007.
The new office space will give Exemplary Performance room to launch from a small to medium sized company. Says CEO Dr. Paul Elliott, “Exemplary Performance has gotten off to a spectacular start and certainly its membership in the CIC was an important contribution to our growth. The CIC provided valuable input to some of our early and most formative decisions that helped refine our strategy.”
Laura Neuman, Executive Director of CIC, says, “We are delighted about their graduation. Eighty percent of incubator companies succeed as opposed to 20% who succeed without incubator assistance. We have several new companies joining CIC and we look forward to moving them forward to achieve the same success.”
Exemplary Performance provides software, training and consulting to maximize employee business performance and strategies using an accomplishment-based approach to performance analysis and intervention design and development. Owner and CEO, Dr. Paul Elliott is recognized as an international leader in the field of Human Performance Technology.
EP accomplishments include:
- A 150-person, high-tech call center was able to cut new-hire training from 16 to 7 days and reduce multiple callback from 25% to 2%;
- The U.S. Coast Guard was able to re-define job roles and reduce the number of roles from seven to four;
- A financial institution was able to reduce the default rate on small business loans, saving over $10M per year;
- A sales organization was able to reduce the “time to results” for new sales team members by 30%, reducing attrition while substantially impacting revenue.
Exemplary Performance is a great asset of Anne Arundel County ,” says new Anne Arundel County Executive John Leopold, “not only as a thriving business creating jobs locally but also serving our national economy by helping their clients generate more revenue.”
