ANNAPOLIS, MD (March 8, 2010) : -Kaulkin Information Kaulkin Information Systems, Inc, www.kistrack.com a Chesapeake Innovation Center (CIC) portfolio company, is a CRTC Innovator Award finalist for 2010. The winners will be announced on March 25 at the Chesapeake Regional Tech council’s TechAwards event.
“It is an honor to be recognized as a finalist for this prestigious regional award program and to be considered among the top innovators for 2010,” said Michael Binko, president and CEO of Kaulkin Information Systems, Inc.
Kaulkin’s new platform, TrackHealth, was recently created in response to the U.S. health care industry’s effort to switch to electronic health records. Compliance, regulatory and risk factors are similar to requirements for the industries upon which Kaulkin was already focused. TrackHealth is a specialized version of the company’s KISTrack® SaaS|Cloud computing platform that allows medical stakeholders to more actively share data, monitor critical decisions and manage electronic health records at all stages of a patient’s care.
TrackHealth achieved Preliminary ARRA 2011 certification by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology in December 2009. KIS is one of the first four companies to receive Preliminary ARRA 2011 certification.
